Christ, we know you are well acquainted with death. 
The death on the cross. 
The death of the middle passage. 
The death of the residential schools.
The death of a culture addicted to violence.
The death of for-profit medicine. 
The death of oppression in every form. 
We bear witness to the body of the Dead Christ in the tomb. 
Amen.
